Fine Famille Rose Chicken Bowl, Daoguang Mark & Period

This is another fine Qing Dynasty Imperial porcelain with famille rose decoration from the Daoguang Period (1821-1850) of Qing Dynasty. The large bowl is decorated on the exterior with a scene of a cockerel, a hen and their three chicks in a natural setting of rock work, flowers and flying butterflies. The interior is painted with a center roundel of a bat and a peach branch surrounded by waves, rock work and flying bats. The decorative sections are divided by fine double ring underglaze cobalt blue lines. A Daoguang Imperial seal mark is inscribed in cobalt blue within the tall foot ring at the base. The unglazed foot ring exposes the fine silky smooth porcelain body burnt orange at the edge. This beautiful bowl is in excellent state of preservation with no condition problem such as chip or crack.
