Korean Blue-and-White Dragon Vase, 19th Century



Up for auction is a beautiful Korean blue-and-white vase with a fierce dragon chasing a flaming pearl. The pear-shaped vase is potted with a thick wall. The dragon is painted with cobalt pigment of very pale blue typical of late 19th Century Korean blue-and-white ware. The unglazed foot ring is adhered with sand and grit. This magnificent dragon vase is in excellent condition. This is a no reserve auction with a low starting bid. Size: Height: 31.3cm; Body diameter: 19.3cm; Mouth diameter: 9.7cm
