Korean White Glazed Vase, 18th Century

This is a wonderful Korean white glazed vase with a globular body and a short flared neck. The heavily potted vase is covered with creamy white glaze with drip line and pooled patches of light clear blue glaze. A large patches of glaze at the lower body has been degraded to a light brown color, which is the common glaze flaw for most Korean white ware from the 17th and 18th centuries of Choson period. Except for a short rim crack and several glaze cracks and chips as photographed, this rare early Korean white glazed vase is in good condition. This is another classic Korean ceramics from our extensive collection of Oriental ceramics.

Size: height: 26.8cm; body diameter: 10.2cm
