Pair of Yellow Famille Rose Cups, Tongzhi Mark & Period



We are offering a pair of very fine late Qing Dynasty Imperial famille rose cups from Tongzhi Period (1862-1874). Each bell-shaped cup is enameled in the exterior with a six flying birds among pink plum blossoms in a light yellow background. The Interior and the base inside the foot ring is glazed white. A four-character Imperial Tongzhi mark is inscribed in the base with iron-red enamel. This pair of beautiful cups is a rare find and should not be missed by any serious Chinese ceramics collector. Except for some gilt line rub-off, both cups are in excellent condition. Size: Mouth Rim Diameter: 9.2cm; Height: 5.8cm
