Turquoise-Ground Famille Rose Vase, Qianlong Mark & Period

This is a fine imperial Qing porcelain vase decorated with the rare famille rose palette on turquoise enamel ground. The entire turquoise color surface of the vase is decorated with two pairs of young dragons among flower roundels and flower scrolls. The beautiful and colorful painting is executed with all intricate details painstakingly rendered in vivid enamels. The base is also covered with turquoise enamel except the center where an underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark is inscribed.
Small yuhuchun vase is unusual for Qing imperial famille rose ware, although a couple of Falangcai type vases with similar size and shape are in the National Palace Museum collection in Taipei. This is another fine authentic cabinet-size Qing Dynasty Imperial porcelain from our collection accumulated in the past 40 years. This lovely and sumptuously decorated vase is in excellent condition except for gilt wear at the mouth rim. .
