Rare Robin's-Egg-Glazed Brush Rest, Qianlong Mark & Period

Up for auction is a rare Chinese Imperial Literati's item from the Emperor's desk. The solid porcelain brush rest is in the form a "Brush Mountain, or Bi Shan in Chinese" with reticulated rock form. The surface is covered with a beautiful variegated purplish blue robin's egg glaze. The flat base is glazed with plain pale turquoise glaze with traces of kiln sand used for support during firing. A crisply carved Imperial Qianlong Seal mark is inscribed at the center of the oblong base.
Except for a kiln glaze chip at rim edge as photographed, this rare brush rest with beautiful glaze is in excellent condition.
