This is a fine pair of Qing Dynasty Imperial vases with lime green glaze, which is one of the rarest Imperial monochrome porcelain color. Each vase is well-potted with a flattened lower section and straight cylindrical neck. The exterior is covered with a beautiful pale lime green glaze stopping neatly at the foot ring and draining to form a white ring at the mouth rim. The interior and the recessed base are glazed white. Each base is inscribed with a Qianlong Imperial seal mark in iron-red. Monochrome lime green glaze was only used in rare occasions for small Imperial saucers or cups during the Yongzheng or Qianlong periods. This pair of miniature vases belong to this rare group of lime green pieces hardly ever show up on open markets. This pair of beautiful vases are both in excellent condition with a superb glaze of hardly any blemish and impurity except for a minute iron-brown spot at the mouth rim of one of the vases. The vases were acquired in early 1960s and have remained in our collection since then. Please review our stellar feedback record and bid with confidence.
