Carved Celadon Saucer Dish, Qianlong Mark & Period

This is a very fine example of Qing Dynasty Imperial monochrome porcelain with fine celadon glaze and superb carved decoration from the Qianlong period. The small saucer-shaped dish has a sloping flat plate with a slanted straight side wall rising from a small cylindrical tall foot ring. The interior is delicately carved in low relief with flying bats among clouds and Buddhist emblems. The exterior is carved with stylized banana leaves pointing outward from the foot ring. The entire vessel except the base and the foot rim is glazed with a beautiful sea-green glaze of the highest quality and color typical of 18th Century Imperial wares. The base inside the small foot ring is glazed with a paler celadon glaze and is inscribed with a six-character Qianlong Imperial seal mark in cobalt blue. This lovely dish is in excellent condition with pristine glaze of virtually no wear and superb color.
