Fine Blue-and-White Beaker, Yongzheng Mark & Period

This is another fine Chinese Imperial porcelain from our large collection of oriental ceramics acquired before 1975. The beaker vase is potted into the shape of an archaic bronze "Gu" and painted with fine cobalt pigment. The decoration consists of archaic bronze motif as well as 18th Century patterns of banana leaves and Ruyi motifs. The resulting vase is a vessel with Qing Dynasty Imperial elegance combined with a classic form. The unglazed thick foot ring exposes the silky smooth porcelain body. The base inside the foot ring is inscribed with a six-character Yongzheng Imperial mark within a double ring. The magnificent Yongzheng Imperial Blue-and-white beaker vase is in excellent condition.
