Up for auction is a rare Qianlong period vase with raised enamel decoration over cafe-au-lait color glaze. The thickly potted vase has a globular body sitting on a splayed pedestal foot. The body rises to a long neck with a flared mouth ring. The neck is attached on each side with a moulded dragon handle and a loose ring. The globular lower body is decorated with two double-dragon roundels and two "Fu" characters in raised bluish gray enamels reserved in a background of white clouds. The shoulder is painted with a floret band and Ruyi patterns in iron-red enamel. The neck is further adorned on each side with a "Shou, or Longevity" character surrounded by flower motif in raised enamel. The flared mouth rim and the pedestal foot are lined with auspicious border patterns in iron-red enamel. The dragon handles and loop rings are covered with gilt enamel. The interior and the base is covered with turquoise enamel except the square Qinalong seal mark in cobalt blue. Except for the restored loop rings, this rare vase is in excellent condition.
