Fine Doucai Covered Jar, Yongzheng Mark & Period



This is a rare Yongzheng Imperial doucai covered jar with beautiful phoenix decoration. The ovoid jar is matched with a dome-shaped cover with a knob. The exterior of the jar is decorated in fine doucai palette with fine underglaze blue outlines. The decoration consists of two stylized phoenix in flight among vining flowers and leaves. The cover is similarly decorated with vining flowers and ruyi pattern. The base is inscribed with a six-character Yongzheng Imperial mark within a double-ring in blue. This fine Imperial doucai covered jar is in excellent condition.
