Fine Miniature Famille Rose Cup, Qianlong Mark & Period



Up for sale is another fine famille rose cup from our extensive collection of Chinese miniature porcelains. The small cup has a slender bell-shaped body with a flared mouth rim. The exterior is painted with a blossoming pink plum flower tree with a gnarled tree trunk and a branch of yellow apricot flowers. The superb painting of flowers and tree branches is accomplished by using fine raised enamels of high quality usually found on enameled porcelains from the Imperial workshops. The small base inside the deep foot ring is inscribed with a four-character "Qianlong Nian Zhi" mark in raised blue enamel. The interior is plain with no decoration. The porcelain body and white glaze is extremely pure and white with virtually no blemish. This beautiful cup is in excellent state of preservation with pristine glaze and enamel.
