Fine Famille Rose Bowl, Jiaqing Mark & Period



This is a truly fine Qing Dynasty Imperial famille rose decorated bowl with the auspicious "Sanduo, or three abundance" painting of peach for Longevity, Pomegranate for many offspring, and Lychee for good fortune. The well-potted large bowl has a slightly tapered straight wall and a wide mouth rim. The exterior is painted in fine quality famille rose palettes with superb painterly rendition of the colorful fruits, leaves, and branches. The quality of the painting and material of this fine bowl is comparable to that of a fine Yongzheng piece. The base is inscribed with a Jiaqing six-character seal mark in pale underglaze cobalt blue. This fine famille rose bowl is in excellent state of preservation with pristine glaze and beautiful enameling without any blemish.
