Fine Blue-And-White Bowl, Daoguang Mark & Period
We are offering a very fine Imperial Daoguang bowl with elaborate blue-and-white decoration. The rounded bowl has a flared wide mouth rim. The exterior is profusely painted with a large band of lotus leaves among vine scrolls. The upper and lower borders are lined with continuous triangle and Ruyi motif respectively. The interior is fully painted with various auspicious motif under a background of fine blue dots. The base inside the foot ring is inscribed with a six-character Daoguang Imperial seal mark in cobalt blue. The cobalt blue is of fine dark color with various hues skillfully used to simulate ink washes. This rare and fine Imperial blue-and-white bowl is in excellent condition.
