Archaic Bronze Form Jade Censer, Qing Dynasty



This is a small jade vessel carved to imitate an archaic bronze. A ding-shaped top layer sits on a tripod lower vessel. The exterior is decorated with shallow relief carving of archaic motif found on archaic bronze. The jade stone is of semi-transparent celadon color with dark metallic inclusion. the interior is well hollowed out and polished. The jade surface has developed a fine patina. This lovely jade tripod censer is in excellent condition. Size: height: 8.9cm; width: 5.4cm
