Rare Chinese White Porcelain "Ding" Censer, Song Dynasty

Up for auction is a beautiful Chinese Song ceramics from the Ding kiln, or Dingyao. The large white-glazed rectangular vessel sits on four feet in the shape of an archaic bronze "Fang Ding or Square Ding" shape. The surface is finely moulded and carved with archaic motif to simulate the pattern of a Shang Dynasty bronze vessel. The decoration shows nicely under the fine quality beige color glaze typical of Northern Song Dynasty Dingyao wares. Except for some normal glaze wears, the classic Dingyao vessel with simulated archaic bronze shape and decoration is in excellent condition with superb white glaze and beautifully decoration. This is an authentic Song ceramics for serious Chinese ceramics lovers.
