Red and Blue Double-Gourd Vase, Guangxu Mark & Period
This is a fine Qing Imperial vase in a double-gourd shape from the Guangxu period. The exterior is decorated with stylized cloud motif in dark cobalt blue and flying bats in iron-red and gilt enamels. the glaze is of pure white color with some glaze gap flaw and iron spot impurities typical of late Qing Imperial wares. The base is inscribed with the six-character Guangxu Imperial mark in cobalt blue. The large and beautiful vase is in excellent condition.
