Yellow Porcelain Scepter, Daoguang Mark & Period

This is another fine small Qing Dynasty Imperial porcelain from our collection. The lovely sceptre, or Ruyi, is elegantly modelled and intricately carved with porcelain. The Ruyi head and handle are decorated with reticulated openwork design of young dragons and auspicious knots. The surface is further carved with continuous key frets and Buddhist swastika. The under side is completely glazed with four minute spur marks. There is a carved six-character Daoguang seal mark on the under side of the handle. The beautiful porcelain scepter is covered with very fine yolk yellow glaze of even color. Except for some accumulated dirt and grime in the crevices, this Imperial porcelain Ruyi is in excellent condition with pristine glaze. We guarantee that this Ruyi is from the Daoguang period. All our Qing porcelain were collected in 1970's before high quality fakes started to flood the market. Please bid with confidence.
Size: Length: 21cm; Width ( widest part at the Ruyi head): 6.8cm; Height: 2.8cm
