Fine Famille Rose vase, Guangxu Mark & Period



Up for auction is a fine famille rose vase with elaborate painting of auspicious bats among cloud mitif from the late Qing Dynasty of Guanxu Period (1875-1908). The vase is in the shape of a cylindrical form with a slightly flared short neck. The exterior is painted with flying red bats in various position among stylized cloud motif. The borders are further decorated with continuous ruyi and key fret motif. The base is inscribed with a six-character Guangxu Imperial mark in iron-red enamel. Except for some iron spot impurities in the glaze, this beautiful vase is in excellent condition. This is another fine and authentic Chinese Imperial porcelain from our collection acquired more than 35 years ago.
