Large Famille Rose Censer, Qianlong Mark & Period



Up for auction is a beautiful and rare Imperial porcelain with elaborate decoration imitating copper enamel from the Qianlong period. The large tripod censer has two blue ears and three splayed feet. The entire surface is covered with a thin layer of white enamel with fine crackles. On top of the white surface is painted with fine drawing of various lotus flowers and vine. The Limoges style decoration was superbly executed with excellent color combination. This is the type of ware which adopted Western style and technique which was popular in the Qianlong court. The base is carved with a Qianlong Imperial seal mark. This is a museum quality Qing Imperial porcelains which has the large size, great beauty, and rarity in one piece not commonly found on open market. The large and magnificent censer is in excellent condition.
