Fine Enameled Milk Glass Snuff Bottle, 19th Century

We are offering this beautiful Chinese snuff bottle made of fine milk glass with famille rose enamelling from Qing Dynasty. The bottle is of compressed form with flat round lip and recessed flat oval foot. The exterior is finely enamelled with an elegant scene of birds among flowering chrysanthemum plant. The short neck is surrounded with a fine continuous scroll in fine coral red line. The shoulder is adorned with a formalized Lingzhi heads in deep blue ename. The base is inscribed with a three-character hall mark of "Guyuexuan" in coral red enamel. The glass is of pure white with mellow sheen. The interior is well hollowed. The cap is made of agate, and is a later addition. Except for a few very minute flea bite size chips inside the foot rim, this beautiful snuff bottle is in excellent condition.
