Rare Pair of Doucai Cups, Qianlong Mark & Period

This is a pair of extremely delicate Imperial Doucai cups from Qianlong period. Each cup is thinly potted with a widely flared side on a broad foot ring. The exterior is elaborately painted with various flower sprays arranged in divided sections. The flat interior well is further decorated with similar flowers. All decorations were executed with precise underglaze blue outline and fine enamelling after the first firing, typical of early Qing Imperial Doucai wares. The shallow recessed base is inscribed with a six-character Qianlong Imperial seal mark in blue. Both cups are in excellent condition with pristine glaze, wonderful enamels, and paper-thin porcelain body.
