Fine Pink-Enameled Water Coupe, Yongzheng Mark & Period



We are offering a very fine and rare example of early Qing Dynasty Imperial rouge-red enameled porcelain. This little water coupe from Yongzheng period has a an elegant jar shape with a short mouth rim. The exterior is covered with a finely crackled rouge red enamel of purplish hue. The interior and the base is glazed with white glaze. The base is inscribed with a six-character Imperial Yongzheng mark within a double-ring. There are a few glaze crackling lines on the base and inside the vessel. Except for a short rim crack and surface enamel wear, this lovely water coupe from the Emperor's desk is in good condition. Early Qing Dynasty Imperial Monochrom rouge-red wares are very rare. This is one of a very few that have survived.
