We have included another important early Qing vase of large size and with superb decoration. This vase of imposing size is in the shape of a classic "Tianqiuping, or Heavenly Globe shape" with a globular lower section and a tapered cylindrical neck. The rounded lower body is painted with four circular panels of peach fruits and flying bat. The reserve space is further decorated with peaches and various vining flowers. The neck is surrounded with similar vining flowers. The top of shoulder and neck are each lined with a band of wave patterns. A bottom band of vertical lotus petals lines the area above the foot. All decoration was achieved with fine doucai and famille rose palettes in pale and refreshing tones. The recessed base inside the thick foot rim is inscribed with a six-character Yongzheng Imperial mark within a double ring in underglaze blue. The unglazed thick foot rim exposes the fine silky smooth porcelain body burnt orange at edges. For size comparison, we have included a photo of this large vase along side a fountain pen which is not included in this sale. This beautiful Doucai and famille rose decorated vase is in excellent condition.
