Rare Chinese Jadeite Snuff Bottle, Qing Dynasty

We are offering this Chinese snuff bottle made of rare and precious jadeite. The bottle was carved from a single block of jewelry quality semi-translucent jadeite with extensive deep green inclusion. This snuff bottle has a flattened round shape with short neck and short oval foot. The interior is very-well hollowed with thin wall. An animal-shaped ear is carved on each side of the shoulder. The mouth rim appears to have been reduced, perhaps due to chips or damages. The interior of the mouth was tapered with screw grooves for the later screwed on agate stopper. Other than the reduced mouth rim and tapered interior, this beautiful snuff bottle is in excellent condition with jewel quality polish.
