Fine Imperial Famille Rose Vase, Daoguang Mark & Period

This is another delicate Qing Imperial miniature vase from our large collection which we acquired before 1975. The vase has a globular lower body siting on a splayed foot. The body tapers to a small and long cylindrical neck with horizontal raised ribs. A scene of two birds playing in a garden under bright moon is painted on the elegant vase. The beautiful Famille Rose palettes were used profusely to depict the lively garden scene with Imperial elegance and glamour. The tall splayed foot is painted with key frets in fine pink enamels. The unglazed foot rim exposes the fine silky smooth porcelain body. The small base inside the foot ring is inscribed in pale underglaze blue with a six-character Daoguang Imperial seal mark. Size: 14.0cm; body diameter: 6.6cm
