Yellow-Ground Blue-and-White Vase, Yongzheng Mark & Period



This is a lovely miniature Qing imperial vase decorated with lotus scrolls in dark underglaze cobalt blue on a ground of clear yellow enamel. A band of transparent green enamel covers the cobalt blue vine scroll at the lower neck. The base is inscribed with a six-character Imperial Yongzheng mark within a double-ring. This type of ware requires two firings and is quite rare. This fine imperial vase of miniature size is from our large collection of delicate Qing Imperial Dynasty porcelains which were acquired before 1975 in Japan. The beautiful vase is in excellent condition with only minor glaze and enamel wear. This is another items for serious fine Imperial wares collectors who enjoy handling small and exquisite works of art.
