Antique Famille Rose Plate, Daoguang Hall Mark & Period



We are offering this beautiful late Qing Dynasty Imperial famille rose plate bearing a Daoguang Emperor's hall mark of "Shen De Tang". The large plate is enameled with a large auspicious "Fu" character in the center by a collage of various flower in different Famille Rose palette. The rim is painted in iron-red with four bats extending their wings to frame the interior of the plate. The reserve space is covered with scrolling cloud motif in white enamel which has been mostly stained. The base is inscribed in iron-red with a four character mark of "Shen De Tang Zhi" which is the hall mark name of Emperor Daoguang (1821-1850). Except for a small chip at the mouth rim as photographed and stain on white enamel, the large and fine Famille Rose plate is in excellent condition. Size: Rim diameter: 23.5cm; Height: 4.2cm
