Chinese Peking Glass Handled Cup, Qing Dynasty

This is an unusual Peking Glass with a Western shape of a cup with a handle. The milk glass has a simple shape with a shallow base supported by a short foot ring. The base is wheel-cut with a four-character Qianlong mark within a double square. This cup is intriguing for its shape and mark. The Peking glass material is consistent with other Imperial Peking glass of 18th Century. We date this rare item to be from Qing Dynasty and perhaps from he Qianlong period. Other than the lime material residue in the interior, the cup is in excellent condition. Size: Height: 6.0cm; Rim diameter: 9.6cm
