Fine Miniature Doucai Brush Holder, Qianlong Mark & Period



We are offering a rare Qing Dynasty Imperial miniature brush holder made for the Royal court. The cylindrical vessel is delicately decorated in fine Doucai technique with birds playing in a chrysanthemum and rockwork garden . The transparent Doucai enamel and underglaze blue outlines are used skillfully to compose a wonderful picture befitting an Imperial studio. The shallow base is inscribed with a Qianlong Imperial six-character seal mark in underglaze blue. This lovely Doucai brush holder is in excellent condition with minor enamel wear. size: height: 8.5cm; diameter: 6.6cm
