Imperial Dragon Dish, China, Qianlong, 18th Century

This is another fine item from our collection of Chinese Qing Dynasty imperial porcelain. The elegantly shaped dish is decorated in the interior well with a single iron- red dragon and a flaming pearl among underglaze blue cloud motif. The exterior is further decorated with two striding red dragons chasing flaming pearls among blue clouds. The decoration is delicately executed with uncompromising precision typical of Qing imperial wares. A four-character hall mark in blue within a double square is inscribed on the base. The unglazed foot rim exposes the fine porcelain with silky smoothness. The mark indicates that this dish was made for one of the study hall of the Qianlong Emperor. We guarantee that this beautiful dish is from the 18th Century Qianlong period. The dish is in perfect condition with no chip nor crack.
