Korean Inlaid Celadon Plate, 15th Century

This is another rare and beautiful Korean ceramics from our vast collection of Korean art accumulated in the past 40 years. The celadon plate we are offering is profusely decorated with inlaid design of water plant, swimming ducks, large and small flower medallions. The large deep plate is covered with a clear bluish gray celadon glaze over the inlaid decoration and gray porcelain body. The flat base is left unglazed and burnt to a dark brown color. The plate is warped from high temperature firing, which adds to the rustic and natural beauty only found in Korean ceramics. The plate is in excellent condition with normal glaze wear and glaze crackle.
Size: Rim diameter: 22.3cm; Height: 4.5cm
