Imperial Famille Rose Plate, Daoguang Mark and Period

Up for auction is a fine Qing Dynasty Imperial porcelain plate decorated with auspicious painting in famille rose palette from Daoguang Period (1821-1850 A.D). The deep plate is painted with a fierce warrior-like figure and two children playing with five flying bats in a garden scene. The border is further adorned with continuous pink ruyi motif in yellow ground. One cannot help but noticing the delicate painting of the main figure's robe carefully outlined with fine gilt lines and the hair-by-hair depiction of his beard. The quality of the painting with fine enamel and the superb glaze over delicate porcelain body set this beautiful plate apart from the mediocre template-like porcelain from the late Qing Dynasty. The plate is in excellent condition without any condition problem.
Size: Diameter: 17.5cm; height: 3.8cm
