Jadeite dragon pendant, Qing Dynasty



We are offering a fine early jadeite pendant in the shape of a dragon. The pendant is carved out of a fine apple green jadeite slab with area of dark green, light apple green and white color. The design and carving is artistically rendered as compared to template-like design of later jadeite carvings. This carving might have been used as a pendant or as an attached decoration for Qing Dynasty robe for high-ranking officials or court ladies. Old jadeite carvings is very rare and should not be missed by any serious collector of Chinese jade.
