Japanese Painting on Silk, 1920th Century



We are starting to cataloging our collection of Japanese painting scrolls for ebay auction. This is the first scroll we are offering for Japanese painting collectors. The large scroll is a beautiful ink on silk painting of a large leaping carp and two small fish swimming among water plants. The painting was done by an accomplished painter with excellent skill and aesthetics quality. The painter's signature is written in beautiful and delicate archaic characters and is also impressed with a red seal on the lower right corner. The silk painting is mounted into a good quality Japanese scroll with fine brocade border and decorative strips which are typical of highly treasured old Japanese paintings. Except for a few creases, this fine Japanese painting scroll is in excellent condition. Painting size: 107cmX49.5cm; Scroll size: 197.5cmX62cm
