Large Pink-Ground Famille Rose Dragon Bowl, Qianlong Mark & Period



We are offering another fine Qing Imperial porcelains from our collection. The large bowl is thinly potted with rounded side rising to a sightly everted rim. The exterior is painted in fine famille rose enamel with fire scrolls and stylized clouds and waves surrounding two playful five-claw white dragons with their body finely incised to depict scales. The reserve space is enameled with fine pink enamel normally reserved for the best pieces made in the Qing Imperial workshops. The interior is decorated with a similarly painted dragon in pink ground within a double underglaze-blue rings. The white-glazed base inside the foot rim is inscribed with six-character Qianlong Imperial seal mark in inky cobalt blue. the unglazed foot rim is well-finished with silky smooth surface. This large and beautiful bowl is in excellent condition Size: rim diameter: 21.3cm, height: 9.7cm
