Lovely Famille Rose Figurine, Qing Dynasty

We are very fond of miniature Chinese porcelains made by Qing Dynasty imperial kiln. This lovely porcelain figuring demonstrates a quality not afforded to standard imperial bowls and vases. The statue is modeled into a musician holding a flute standing in a leaning position. His facial expression is depicted with precise features complete with a iron spot as a mole. His robe is painted in light turquoise enamel wash with flower pattern. The figuring is unique for its fine sculptural quality and beautiful enameling which are typical of 18th Qing Dynasty Imperial wares. The hollow porcelain statue stands on an unglazed base with silky smooth surface. Except for two minute chips at the edge of the base, this fine famille rose figuring is in excellent condition.
