Rare Soft Paste Miniature Bottle, Qing Dynasty

This is a rare miniature soft-paste porcelain bottle with underglaze blue decoration. The cylindrical body is topped with a small flared mouth. The exterior is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with five scholars viewing a long painting scroll under a tall pine tree. The glaze is of creamy grayish with distinct bluish tint. The base is inscribed with a four-character "Qianlong Nian Zhi, made in the year of Qianlong" mark and probably of the period. The unglazed foot rim shows the grayish light-weight soft-past body. This is a beautiful miniature bottle for carry medicine made during the Qing Dynasty. Except for a shallow foot rim chip, the lovely vase is in excellent condition.
