Yixing Tea Pot, Qing Dynasty



We are offering a fine Chinese tea pot made in the Yixing area of China. The beautiful tea pot has an elegant shape with carved scenery on one side and calligraphy and artist's signature on the other side. The cover is topped with a peach, stem and leaves as its knob. There is a potter's seal inside the cover as photographed. The surface has developed a fine smooth patina from years of use. We date this Yixing tea pot to be from late 19th Century or early 20th Century. Size: Width: tip of spout to end of handle: 17cm, Height: 11.5cm
